Director – Gila Haor, MS Ed. BCBA LBA
Gila has been involved in special education for over twenty years and has always had a passion for helping students define and achieve their own success. Since her first step into the classroom as a volunteer in high school, Gila has taken a leadership role. She is known for her balanced approach of professionalism together with bringing forth research-based methodologies in a usable way for parents and teachers to support their children.
Gila graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1999 with a certification and Masters degree in Special Education. Ever the lifelong learner, she became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2017. She serves on the board of the Friendship Circle of Baltimore and spends her time supporting others searching for help for their children.
Gila is the proud mother of four growing daughters. Her favorite pass time is “Game Night” with her family. The sounds of beach waves in the summer and the crackling of a fire place in the winter is what keeps her going from one season to the next.
